During Spring 2025, TFL undertook a new foresight project, workshops and training for Sharjah Police centered around the Future of Security Media. The project was under the leadership of the Commander in Chief, supported by top officers, the Foresight and Media Departments and emphasized the ned for continuing social stability in Sharjah and UAE in general. In addition to the security media focus, TFL first trained 50 or so participants in Foresight and emerging developments in communications and media technologies, security, community structures, attitudes and behaviours, as well as advances in data management, neuroforensics, and uture social structures and platforms. The project followed the TFL 8-stage foresight project resulting in 8 scenarios and 12 early-stage projects to begin the journey towards the 2040 scenarios. Opportunity areas included future jobs in security media for 2040 and skill migration, new forms of community engagement, autonomous policing and dealing with crime on socia media and in the emerging Metaverse.
